Last Friday (1st December), ABR held an Open Day celebrating 15 years of operations.
With wonderful support from eight sponsors ABR was able to hold the event free of charge for guests. Eighty visitors participated in the event including Garvan researchers and professional services staff, as well as researchers and animal care teams from ABR’s non- Garvan clients.
A bus was organised from Garvan to take guests to ABR. On arrival guests were provided with morning tea and a spit roast lunch, tours of the facility, competitions, and activities such as rock painting. The local Movember activity raised $580.00 with guests being able to vote on the moustaches. A talk on ABR Past & Future with a slide show showcased the incredible growth of ABR over the last 15 years.
The ABR Open Day 2023 was a great success thanks to our sponsors, the work of ABR staff and all those who attended.
